Research interests: renal transplant pathology; glomerulonephritis,
and allograft pathology in underdeveloped countries.

My research has focused on kidney transplant pathology: Epstein-Barr virus
in kidney allografts, BK virus associated interstitial nephritis, and correlation
between glomerular size and allograft outcome. I am also interested
in allograft kidney pathology to investigate differences in graft infection
frequency, graft loss, or recurrent disease between Colombia and more
developped countries.
