News from the US-CAP Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana, March 2000
Congratulations to Vivette D'Agati for receiving the Churg Award. Her contributions to Renal Pathology have been many, and she is most deserving of the recognition.
New members
Three new members are welcomed into the Society:
Andreas Friedl, M.D., Ingeborg M. Bajema, M.D., and Jeff Henegar, Ph.D.
Young Investigator Award
Congratulations to Li-jun Ma who won the Young Investigator Award at the US-Canadian Academy of Pathology Meeting, New Orleans, LA for his poster titled: Regression of glomerulosclerosis in aging by angiotensin II Type 1 receptor antagonist (AIIRA) is linked to inhibition of plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1). Dr. Ma worked with Dr. Agnes Fogo at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
ASN-Toronto (October 13-20, 2000)
