Arkana Laboratories is seeking a full-time renal pathologist to join our growing practice in Little Rock, Arkansas. The practice is comprised of 17 board-certified renal pathologists supported by more than 130 technical and administrative staff. Each year Arkana Laboratories accessions thousands of adult, pediatric and transplant kidney biopsies from 42 states. You will find a highly supportive environment with challenging diagnostic material, an interesting daily case conference, journal club, and multiple teaching opportunities. Arkana Laboratories is also dedicated to the scientific investigation of kidney disease and many of our physicians participate in patient-centered and translational research.
Little Rock is Arkansas’s capital city and offers a low cost of living with an abundance of cultural and outdoor activities, without many of the inconveniences of other major cities. The state’s diverse cultures converge in Little Rock, which is home to a thriving downtown entertainment district, a wide array of restaurants, trails, riverside parks, and golf courses, and the Clinton Presidential Library.

Applicants must hold an MD or DO degree, be certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic Pathology and have fellowship training and experience in interpretation of native kidney and renal allograft biopsies. The ability to obtain a medical license in the state of Arkansas is required as is proof of COVID-19 vaccination prior to start date. In addition, applicants must bring a strong work ethic and a good sense of humor. Compensation, benefits package and vacation are highly competitive.
