The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Baylor Scott and White Health is seeking an Anatomic & Clinical Pathologist in Temple, Texas to assist with a growing demand for services in the area. Fellowship training in renal and abdominal transplant pathology is preferred.
The successful candidate must have an MD degree (or MD equivalent), a valid Texas medical license (or qualifications to obtain one at the time of appointment) and be Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology. Applicant’s materials must list (pending) qualifications upon submission. Applicants with expertise in renal and abdominal pathology either formal fellowship training or comparable experience and publications will be preferred. Fellowship training in surgical pathology or a surgical pathology subspecialty will be favored. Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated and participated in teaching as teaching of pathology residents and nephrology fellows will be expected. Responsibilities will include practicing general anatomic pathology, including frozen sections and cytopathology adequacies as also evaluation of native and transplant renal biopsies.
Candidates with strong interpersonal skills are preferred. Salary and appointment rank will be commensurate with the applicant’s experience and training.

The core clinical laboratories in Temple is responsible for all Surgical Pathology performed in the Central Texas, Greater Austin and College Station regions. The Baylor Scott and White Pathology practice has pathologists in North and Central Texas locations with more than 35 Pathologists and PhDs who oversee operations at 15 Hospitals.
The pathologists in the Department of Pathology have opportunities for academic affiliation with the recently announced new Medical School Campus of Baylor College of Medicine in Temple, Texas.
