Abstract Submission


Please read the submission rules before submitting an abstract.

  • Abstracts must be received by the announced deadline. Abstracts received after the deadline will not be considered.
  • All abstracts should be submitted and presented in clear English with accurate grammar and spelling of a quality suitable for publication.
  • The submitting author is responsible for the abstract content and is the contact person for communication purposes and dissemination of information to co-authors

Abstract Categories

  1. Research Abstracts: Among the submitted abstracts, the best research abstract will be presented as a  poster during the IRPC.
  2. Clinical Cases: Among the submitted abstracts, the  best abstracts will be presented as an oral communication during the IRPC.

Abstract Structure

Research Abstracts should follow this structure:

  • Background
  • Materials and Methods
  • Results
  • Discussion and conclusion


Clinical Cases should follow this structure:

  • Background
  • Case description
  • Discussion and learning points

General structure:

  • The abstract must not exceed 250 words. Title, authors’ names, affiliations, references, tables and figures are not included in the word count.
  • The abstract may include up to 2 visual elements (Tables and/or Figures), and they must be referenced in the text and numbered in the order they appear.
  • The authors’ affiliation should be clearly indicated as follows: Department, Institution, City, Country (e.g., Department of XXXXX, University of XXXX, New York City, USA).
  • Abstract title – must be in UPPER CASE and limited to 25 words. Please submit symbols as words (e.g. Beta, alpha, etc.).
  • Abbreviations and acronyms should be spelled in full and followed by the abbreviation/acronym in a parenthesis the first time they are mentioned in the abstract (e.g. Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS)).
  • Abstract content must be scientifically valid, objective and balanced and contain no commercial promotional content.
