Three (3) monetary awards of $250 will be given with a certificate. A minimum of 3 nominations are necessary for this award to be considered in any given year.
Call for nomination will be sent to the RPS membership by the Nomination & Award Committee Chair by Jan 30th, at the latest, of any given year. Members will have 2 weeks to nominate trainees for this award from the time the announcement is posted.

Note: The Nominating RPS faculty member should be a co-author in the abstract and/or from the same institution as the nominee.
Pathologists-in-training (residents or fellows (clinical and research)) who present an abstract (poster or platform) at the USCAP of any given year or at the ASN of the previous year in the kidney category as the first author. No age restriction. There is no requirement for membership for the trainees, although highly recommended.
The RPS promotes excellence in diagnosis, fosters basic, clinical and translational research, encourages training and education in renal disease, sponsors US based and international conferences and symposia, and brings news and updates pertaining to renal pathology to its members around the world.
